AmberLube™ 85R7

Waterless Lapping Lubricant

Lubricants AmberLube™ 85R7 is a ready-to-use, waterless diamond lapping lubricant. It is specifically formulated for the fixed abrasive lapping of computer disk read/write heads. The AmberLube 85R7 contains special inhibitors to prevent corrosion of the exotic alloys used in GMR and advanced head designs.  Its formula also provides the unique ability to control pole tip, alumina and RTS (reader to shield) recession or protusion.  AmberLube 85R7 chemistry provides lower viscosity than other synthetic lubricants.  It also prevents ESD by quickly and effectively dissipating static charge build-up.  AmberLube 85R7 imparts excellent surface finishes, improved removal rates, and enhanced plate life.  AmberLube 85R7 is easily cleaned with conventional polar solvents or water based cleaners.
